GOD DOG - A failed wrter is about to jump from the roof of a tall building. He is thwarted by a strange dog who talks to him about life, and the pros and cons of jumping. 1 Man, 1 boy, 1 Dog (okay, this can be a sock puppet, to a guy in a dog suit)
ECHOES - An estranged father and son go on an obligatory yearly hunting trip. Blows are exchanged early and often by the two, as they express the pain of loss they have both been feeling, but not addressing, for years following the death of another son in a hunting accident. Just how and why it happened is the subject of debate in this creepy little tale of greed and betrayal. 2 men, 1 boy
SACRIFICES - An acolyte inadvertantly catches his parrsh priest in a tryst with a married parrishioner. Now the old priest he has known since he was a little boy, the man who has set in stone a sense of fairness and morality in him, tries to convince him to keep quiet about what he has seen. Grandpa keeps going in and out of the Battle of Anzio, one teen son is flunking out of high school and may have gotten his girlfriend pregnant, the other teen son is about to kill Grandpa for revealing secrets (ADD, bedwetting, etc) to his new girlfriend, Dad is ready to pull his hair out, and their parrish priest just wants to get the show on the road so he can go home and get some sleep. 4 men, 1 boy Single set
LOATHE LETTERS - Letters back and forth from camp with a twist. Dad is enjoying his son's time away a little too much. The camp is a little too rustic. And, slowly the boy begins to realize that the "camp" is really a prison! 1 man, 1 boy
AMARAY - It is the late 80's in a small Mom and Pop video store in the San Fernando Valley, and two feckless clerks make a grim discovery. Shruken, mummified body parts are hidden in supposedly empty amarays. THE WINNING TICKET - In late 60's Brooklyn, a gambler is down on his luck, $5000 down, and his bookie is in no mood to wait. Facing death, he decides to flee the city, but is delayed by an untimely visit by his young nephew. Seems the boy is following in his uncle's footsteps and plays the New York State lottery weekly through the use of a bum or wino to buy the ticket for him week to week. This time however, the boy has "hit it" to the tune of just over $5000. The boy comes to his worldly uncle, to cash it, and then help break the news to his disapproving mother. But will this desperate man help his sister and her son, or help himself? 1 man, 1 boy, Single Set
